Alex D. Araiza is an illustrator and cartoonist who tends to work in the areas of horror and the surreal. She is compelled to figure out what is it that drives the side of humanity that lives in fear of the unknown, and combat it with discovery. Her work has been published in Cicada magazine, Believer magazine, and in New Frontiers: The Many Worlds of George Takei. She runs a small collective of artists known as Plus Dog Collective.
