Celina Su and Annie Ling

Celina Su was born in São Paulo, Brazil, and lives in Brooklyn. Her first book of poetry, Landia, was published by Belladonna* in 2018. Her writing includes two poetry chapbooks, three books on the politics of social policy and civil society, and pieces in journals such as n+1Harper’s, The New York Times Magazine, and elsewhere. Su is the Marilyn J. Gittell Chair in Urban Studies and a Professor of Political Science at the City University of New York.


Born in Taipei, Annie Ling is an Canadian photographer and visual artist committed to intimate narrative projects and expanding a visual discourse. A contract photographer for the The New York Times, her work also appears in NPR, The New Yorker, The Atlantic, Virginia Quarterly Review, and The Guardian, among others. Annie is also a recipient of a New York Foundation of the Arts fellowship, a Director’s Fellowship from the International Center of Photography, and is currently a candidate for her MFA in Photography at the Yale School of Art. www.annielingphoto.com
