Zaina Arafat is a Palestinian American writer. Her essays and stories have appeared in The New York Times, Virginia Quarterly Review, Granta, The Atlantic, The Washington Post, Vice, on BuzzFeed and NPR, and elsewhere. She holds an MFA from the University of Iowa and is currently at work on a novel and an essay collection.
