Zandria Felice Robinson is a writer who teaches sociology at Rhodes College in Memphis, Tennessee. She is the author of This Ain’t Chicago: Race, Class, and Regional Identity in the Post-Soul South, winner of the Eduardo Bonilla-Silva Outstanding Book Award from the Racial and Ethnic Minorities Division of the Society for the Study of Social Problems. Robinson is coauthor, with Marcus Anthony Hunter, of Chocolate Cities: The Black Map of American Life, which presents a new black cultural geography of the US. Her work has appeared in Issues in Race & Society, The New Encyclopedia of Southern Culture, Annual Review of Sociology, Contexts, Rolling Stone, Hyperallergic, and Oxford American.
