Milton L. Welch goes by “Mont” in conversation, and teaches at North Carolina State University. His professional interests are poetics (especially modern and contemporary), African-American literature (especially poetry), and philosophy and literature (especially applications for Nelson Goodman in literary study). Besides his scholarly endeavors he reviews poetry regularly, most notably for The Believer Magazine.
