Katrina Dodson’s translation of The Complete Stories, by Clarice Lispector, won the 2016 PEN Translation Prize and is out in paperback in June 2018. Her writing has appeared in McSweeney’s, Guernica, and The Millions. Dodson is currently adapting her Lispector translation journal into a book and translating the Brazilian modernist classic Macunaíma, the Hero Without Character, by Mário de Andrade, for New Directions. She holds a PhD in comparative literature from the University of California, Berkeley.
