Beyoncé has teamed up with Balmain’s creative director Olivier Rousteing to co-create a stunning haute couture collection called “Renaissance Couture by Beyoncé x Balmain.”
The collection features 16 unique couture outfits, each inspired by one of the 16 songs on Beyoncé’s Grammy-winning album “Renaissance.”
The collaboration between Beyoncé and Rousteing began when the designer became enthralled by the album after its release in July 2022.
Rousteing revealed that he constantly listened to “Renaissance,” sketching new concepts inspired by the music.
Over several months, he worked closely with Beyoncé and her stylist, Marni Senofonte, to bring the Renaissance Couture looks to life.
Beyoncé praised Rousteing as “a dream collaborator” and expressed gratitude for the opportunity to celebrate the human form and take artistic risks through this partnership.
According to Rousteing, the collaboration was unique due to the lack of budgeting, rollout, and marketing plans, which allowed both him and Beyoncé to experiment, dream, and push each other to the maximum.
Renaissance Couture features an array of striking and intricate designs, including hammered metal breastplates, 3D-printed bustiers, and feather-made fireworks.
Luxurious velvets, meticulously embroidered gowns, and a wearable crystal chandelier showcase the detailed craftsmanship involved.
Even Beyoncé’s autograph is incorporated into the design, forming the base of pairs of platform heels.

The result is a collection that seamlessly melds music and fashion.
Beyoncé graces the April cover of Vogue France, wearing a shoulder dress and thermoformed black velvet hat set with rhinestones from the Renaissance Couture collection.
The issue, which will be available on newsstands and digitally on Wednesday, also features images of two additional gowns from the collection.
The unveiling of Renaissance Couture comes just weeks before Beyoncé’s highly anticipated spring and summer world tour.
