The Art Gallery at the University of West Florida is buzzing with creativity. Why? Because they’ve just kicked off “Roll-Call: The 2023 Art and Design Faculty Exhibition.” This event, running from October 19 to December 8, is not just another art show. It’s a platform where art instructors show off their latest work. Expect to see everything from drawings and paintings to digital art and even unique sculptures.
You don’t want to miss the opening night, set for Thursday, October 19. The gallery will welcome guests from 5 p.m. to 8 p.m. You’ll find the Art Gallery in Building 82, which is part of the Center for Fine and Performing Arts on the Pensacola campus.
The exhibit isn’t just eye candy; it’s also a learning experience. Faculty artists are using this as a chance to dive into new studies and share their findings. So, it’s a win-win for everyone—students get to learn, teachers get to teach, and the entire community gets to enjoy some top-notch art.
The gallery is open for visits from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m., Monday through Friday. The best part? Entry is free, and everyone’s welcome!
This art show aims to do more than just display pretty pictures. It wants to challenge and inspire you. The University of West Florida believes that art has the power to speak to us all. So, why not take a little time to listen?
