Sally Wen Mao is the author of Mad Honey Symposium and Oculus which was named one of Time Magazine’s 100 Must-Read Books of 2019, among other accolades. A Pushcart Prize winner, she has work published or forthcoming in Harper’s Bazaar, Poetry, Guernica, Tin House, PEN America, The Kenyon Review, and other spaces. She has an MFA from Cornell University and has received fellowships from Black Mountain Institute, the Cullman Center at the New York Public Library, Kundiman, and the George Washington University.
